REFUND & RETURN POLICY

At Goth Alpaca, we want you to be comfortable with what you order and clear about what happens if something is not right.

Please contact us before sending a return so that we can provide the appropriate return instructions.

30-DAY VOLUNTARY RETURN POLICY

In addition to any rights you have under applicable consumer law, we offer a voluntary 30-day return period.

You may request a return within 30 days after receiving your order.

For returns made under our voluntary return policy, items must be:

• unworn or unused;
• in the condition in which they were received;
• returned with any original tags;
• returned with the original packaging where reasonably possible; and
• accompanied by proof of purchase or sufficient information for us to identify your order.

Trying on clothing or footwear in the ordinary way does not by itself make an item ineligible for return.

Please do not send items back without first contacting us.

CHANGE-OF-MIND RETURN SHIPPING

For change-of-mind returns, the customer is responsible for the cost of returning the item to us unless we agree otherwise.

We do not automatically provide prepaid return labels for change-of-mind returns.

We recommend using a tracked shipping service, as you remain responsible for the returned parcel until it reaches us.

EU AND EEA 14-DAY RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL

If you are a consumer covered by European Union or European Economic Area consumer law and you purchase goods online, you generally have the statutory right to withdraw from the purchase without giving a reason.

The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day on which you, or a person nominated by you other than the carrier, receives the goods.

To exercise this right, you must clearly inform us of your decision to withdraw before the 14-day period expires.

You may do this by emailing hello@gothalpaca.com.

Simply returning the goods without informing us of your decision to withdraw is not sufficient.

After notifying us of your withdrawal, you must send the goods back without undue delay and no later than 14 days after notifying us.

You are responsible for the direct cost of returning goods under the statutory right of withdrawal unless we have agreed to pay those costs.

You may inspect an item in the same way you reasonably could in a physical shop. You may be responsible for any reduction in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

REFUNDS UNDER THE EU/EEA RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL

Where the statutory right of withdrawal applies, we will reimburse payments received from you, including the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option available for your order.

If you selected a more expensive delivery method, such as express delivery, we are not required to refund the additional cost above our standard delivery charge.

We will make the reimbursement within 14 days after being informed of your decision to withdraw.

We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the returned goods or you provide evidence that you have sent them back, whichever occurs first.

Unless otherwise agreed, reimbursement will be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction.

EXCEPTIONS TO THE STATUTORY RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL

The statutory right of withdrawal may not apply to certain categories of goods where an exception is permitted by applicable law. These can include, where relevant:

• goods made to the customer's specifications or clearly personalised;
• goods liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly;
• sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health-protection or hygiene reasons once unsealed; and
• other goods or services specifically excluded from the statutory right of withdrawal by applicable law.

Any statutory exception will only be relied upon where it legally applies to the particular product and circumstances.

SALE AND DISCOUNTED ITEMS

Discounted and sale items are subject to the same statutory consumer rights as full-price goods.

Our voluntary 30-day return policy also applies to discounted items, subject to the eligibility conditions stated above.

DAMAGED, DEFECTIVE OR INCORRECT ITEMS

Please inspect your order when it arrives.

If an item is damaged, defective, materially different from its description, or you receive the wrong item, contact us at hello@gothalpaca.com as soon as reasonably possible.

Please include your order number and, where useful, photographs showing the issue.

We will assess the issue and provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with applicable consumer law.

Where goods are defective or do not conform to the contract, return costs that we are legally required to bear will not be charged to you.

EU LEGAL GUARANTEE

Consumers in the European Union benefit from a minimum two-year legal guarantee for goods that are faulty, do not conform to their description, or do not function as they reasonably should.

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, remedies can include repair, replacement, a price reduction or a refund.

This legal guarantee exists independently of our voluntary 30-day return policy and is not reduced by anything in this policy.

EXCHANGES

We do not currently operate a direct exchange system.

If you would like a different size, colour or product, the simplest process is to return the original item in accordance with this policy and place a new order for the replacement.

VOLUNTARY RETURN REFUNDS

For returns made under our voluntary 30-day policy after any statutory withdrawal period has expired, we will notify you after the return has been received and inspected.

Approved refunds will normally be processed to the original payment method within 10 business days.

Your bank, card provider or payment service may require additional time to display the refund after it has been processed by us.

If more than 15 business days have passed after we confirmed that your refund was issued, please contact hello@gothalpaca.com.
